When will I receive AutoPlow service?
AutoPlow is activated anytime the forecast calls for snow. It is our proactive snow removal service designed to ensure your property remains clear throughout a storm. Instead of waiting for a specific measurement of snow, our team monitors local forecasts to activate service when conditions require it.
How activation works:
We consider several factors before activating AutoPlow, including:
Expected snow accumulation and duration
Ground temperature (whether the snow will stick)
Local weather patterns and timing
Because it is not possible to measure snowfall at every individual home, we activate the service for the entire area when the forecast indicates a need for plowing.
Notifications and cancellations:
When AutoPlow is activated, you will receive a text and email notification alerting you of the upcoming service.
If you don’t need service: If your specific location received less snow than forecasted, you can cancel the appointment through the LawnGuru app or website before the provider arrives.
Extended storms: During heavy or long-lasting storms, we may dispatch providers multiple times. This ensures your property remains accessible throughout the duration of the weather event.
Tracking and timing:
Each storm is unique, making it difficult to provide an exact service window before the snow begins. However, you can use the LawnGuru app to:
Track progress: See when your provider is on the way.
Communicate: Chat directly with your provider for updates.
Manage appointments: Cancel or adjust your service as needed.
